Who are 'The Miserablists'? A question often asked, but seldom answered. These troubadours of indie air guitar have been sighted on many occasions, but the question lingers. One thing is certain they keep the flame of indie air guitar burning bright with their legendary performances and line in nice cardigans.
Few can forget their scorching gig at the Henley Parish Hall, an incendiary gig often compared to the Sex Pistols' gig at the 100 Club. Sadly this legendary night was cut short when the local Women's Institute reclaimed the hall for their weekly knitting circle, but at least the band got a couple of nice pairs of woollen socks out of it.
The band line-up may change more times than that of 'The Fall', but one thing remains constant the determination to push the cause of indie air guitar forward. Thus they host the Indie Air Guitar Showcase in an attempt to entice their fellow compatriots out of the bedroom and on to the stage. Indie air guitarists, your time is now.
